Asphalt Plant Groundperson

The Materials Group is looking for an individual to fill an Asphalt Plant Groundperson at the Napanee Asphalt Plant.

**Schedule**:Monday-Friday, 55-60 hours a week.

**Job Location**: 8243 County Rd 2, Napanee, ON, plus possibility of travel to other sites.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Operate a front end loader.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
- Maintain equipment and report any defects in a timely manner.
- Maintain yard around stockpiles as required.
- Work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Work at other Materials Group sites as needed.

**EDUCATION, REQUIREMENTS, AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Comfortable working at heights.
- Must have valid G driver’s license.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently and in a safe manner.
- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working well with others.
- Mechanically inclined is an asset.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- Long periods of sitting.
- Noisy environment.
- Rough (bumpy) driving conditions.
- Typical workday is 10-12 hours.
- Must be available to work nights, evening and weekends
