**The Opportunity**
As a National Loss Prevention Specialist, you will work with leaders and their teams directly to define and implement health and safety initiatives aligned with annual business plans.

This role focuses primarily on:

- Lead and implement Loss Prevention Programs and Strategy
- Development - _increase the capabilities of Loss Prevention/Risk mitigation at restaurant leaders/staff_
- Influence - _Loss Prevention strategies within restaurant operations_
- Compliance - _supporting implementation of the Health and Safety Programs for compliance, interacting with regulatory authorities_

**Principal Accountabilities**:_In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:_
- Focus on being in restaurants and supporting restaurant teams to optimize restaurant profitability & process improvement in the areas of Cash/Food/Delivery.
- Strategically plans targeted restaurants visits in accordance with LP scorecards and helps identify root cause of opportunity. Supports restaurant in mitigating losses.
- Conducts restaurant audits (i.e.: Cash, Food Cost and Delivery process Audits)
- Conducts investigations in light of process non-compliance, integrity, etc
- Provides coaching in the areas of focus/opportunities in a timely fashion to the RM’s and Operations consultant’s.
- Identifies trends, root cause analysis to mitigate potential loss or process opportunity, effectively communicates findings to markets and collaborates to support course correction
- Compiles and analyses all cash, food and delivery audits, provides trends and communicates regional, market opportunities.
- Provides presentations and training webcasts to patch/market level restaurant teams when required
- Efficiently and effectively communicates with all levels of the business incl. RM/OC’s and markets leads.
- Works with business units to ensure process development. Looks for process simplification while analyzing impact. Presentation of data analysis to regional patch meetings.
- Has the ability to support associated business units in the areas of risk mitigation (i.e: H&S, Risk management, etc.).
- Support restaurants with Security incidents management and security equipment service when required.
- Ensure all safety KPIs meet or exceed OHS policies, procedures and programs.
- Drive an awareness of a loss prevention-focused culture and ensure standards are well understood throughout the organization.
- Use a “one team” mindset to collaborate and promote safety and business results with both corporate and franchise partners.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years progressive experience with demonstrated knowledge in the area of occupational Loss Prevention management practices, with focus in a continuous improvement environment, with diverse stakeholder groups and with a proven track record of measurable results
- Post graduate university/college degree preferred.
- Capabilities of analyzing financial data and identify loss opportunities to then report to the business.
- Self-starter capable of multi-tasking along with the ability to navigate through an ambiguous, ever-changing environment.
