We are currently seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to join our Loss Prevention Team. Reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager, the incumbent of this exciting new role will be responsible for managing requests related to our branches and the Loss Prevention team, participating in drafting safety measures and risk control procedures for stores, and handling other assigned tasks.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV, to identify suspicious activities and potential theft.
- Identifying and assessing vulnerabilities in the store network that could impact the company’s financial performance.
- Implementing and optimizing processes based on data analysis.
- Developing new control points for stores.
- Ensuring the updating and compliance of internal processes.
- Conducting store audits to establish loss prevention standards.
- Training and raising employee awareness of loss prevention practices.
- Analyzing reports and suspicious transactions to detect fraud trends and vulnerabilities, leading internal investigations as necessary.
- Collaborating closely with the inventory and finance departments to create and optimize processes aimed at reducing losses.
- Providing collaborative follow-up with the Loss Prevention department based in Montreal.
- Travelling within Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes.
- Performing any other related tasks as needed in connection with loss prevention according to the company’s needs.

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Previous experience in loss prevention, security, or law enforcement is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in loss prevention, with significant experience in retail (an asset).
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret reports and data for developing efficient processes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with the inventory, operation and finance departments to improve processes.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and relevant tools for loss management (asset) and data analysis.
- Integrity and discretion with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to manage priorities, work autonomously, and complete detailed reports.\
- Languages: English; French is an asset.
