**KEY OBJECTIVE**:
We are looking for a motivated team player who is interested in working as a Translator to support Chubb’s Canadian operations. In this role you will work closely with the Canadian Marketing and Communications team, to provide timely translation services in support of various internal clients, for internal and external communication correspondence.

The successful incumbent will be familiar with Québec’s distinctive linguistic characteristics and able to translate an average of 1,000 t0 1,500 words per day, mainly from English to French. The Translator will be proactive and a self-starter, and comfortable working both independently as well as part of a team.

**MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Translate a variety of documents including marketing material, internal and external communication, announcements and press releases, and HR documents. The scope of work includes support for the administrative and business/functional units of the company;
Review, translate and revise content posted on external and internal platforms, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency of translations;
Provide support on special projects and presentations, performing translations, often on short notice may be required;
Contribute to the maintenance of the company’s translation memory;
Miscellaneous administrative tasks related to the above.

Work Experience

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
Completion of university degree in translation or related field; professional certification in translation and being a member of OTTIAQ constitutes an asset;
Minimum of 1-2 years of previous experience in translation; experience within insurance or financial services setting is considered an asset;
Bilingualism in French and English is required to ensure effective communication with all stakeholders of the Chubb company;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to translate technical and specialized content relating to business and customer groups involved;
Strong organization and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines;
Ability to prioritize and adapt to change, as needed, within a dynamic and evolving organization;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a multi-task environment;
Demonstrated attention to detail, neatness, and accuracy;
Knowledge of translation software and SDL Trados; experience with Alexa AI or other machine assisted translation technology considered an asset;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
