Automobile Salesperson Job Duties:

- Providing product & brand knowledge to our clientele
- Answering questions & addressing concerns
- Assessing the buying needs of clientele (desired features, needs & wants, dimensions/capability)
- Assessing the financial needs of clientele (desired budget, payment plans, etc.)
- Appraising trade-in vehicles
- Presenting multiple options of purchase and lease scenarios to clients
- Performing final paperwork on delivery with the client
- Following up with clients after they have taken possession of their vehicle
- Orchestrating a detailed presentation & demonstration of features both during the shopping process and again at the time of pickup
- Explaining and demonstrating features & technology within our products (EyeSight, DriverFocus, X-Mode, STARLINK Connected Services, etc.)
- Recommending financial strategies & money management
- Merchandising the exterior lot display and ensuring it is always professional and presentable
- Ensuring the showroom is well presented and organized
- Ensuring the Subaru brand is well represented in the SW Ontario market
- Understands automobiles by studying characteristics, capabilities, benefits and features; comparing and contrasting competitive models; inspecting automobiles.
- Qualifies buyers by understanding buyer's requirements and interests; matching requirements and interests to various models; building rapport.
- Demonstrates automobiles by explaining characteristics, capabilities, and features; taking drives; explaining warranties and services.
- Closes sales by overcoming objections; asking for sales; negotiating price; completing sales or purchase contracts; explaining provisions; explaining and offering warranties, services, and financing; collects payment; delivers automobile.
- Provides sales management information by completing reports and/or tasks.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications, attending training events, etc.
- Enhances dealership reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
