**Surveyor**

Harco Developments is one of Calgary's leading landscape construction contractors. For 30 years, Harco has been providing construction services, building and maintaining parks, storm ponds, sports fields, and other green spaces throughout Calgary, Airdrie and the surrounding area.

We are looking for an individual with experience in land surveying and drafting to contribute to our commercial landscape projects in the 2025 season.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Familiarity with project plans and site drawings
- Use a data collector to stake grades and indicate necessary cuts/fills
- Compare field information to project plans in order to track work progress
- Clearly communicate results with project managers and on-site operators
- Prepare field notes and sketches where necessary

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Experience working in the Commercial Landscape Construction Industry
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D (Civil 3D) and Trimble Business Centre
- Experience in the field performing site surveying, using a Data Collector, pounding stakes and marking a cut/fill
- Must be physically fit and able to walk long distances over all kinds of terrain
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and site plans, including site layout, grading, planting plans and other surface installation plans

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

- **REQUIRED** The role we are trying to fill is partially office work, and partially out in the field where there are tasks that require the worker to be very active and physically fit. Are you equally confident in your computer skills and your physical ability? Do you prefer one kind of work environment over the other?
