Northern Dock Systems Inc. is seeking a Collection/AR Clerk to join our Finance Team.

**Responsibilities**

**Collection**:

- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger
- Run weekly Aged Receivable Report
- Work collaboratively with Accounts Payable and other accounting staff to ensure accuracy in finances
- Prepare analytical analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing
- Support other accounting team members
- Other duties as required, including helping support NDS phone lines.

**Accounts Receivable**:

- Daily process and post all incoming payments (CODs, cheques, ACHs, e-transfers)
- Issue Credit/Debit Memos as required
- Reconcile daily receipts with General Ledger
- Generate and distribute monthly statements
- Collection calls on overdue accounts
- Manage filing promptly
- Reconcile accounts receivable monthly with bank statements
- Invoice construction jobs.
- Participate in Year-End closing
- Support other accounting team members when required
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Good knowledge of accounting fundamentals
- Highly proficient in MS Office programs (EXCEL a must), and CRM/ERP software
- Experience dealing in multi-currencies
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills with strong verbal and written skills in the English language
- 3+ years collections experience, construction industry considered an asset

Office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $53,000.00 per year
