**Accounting Coordinator**

**Corporate Finance & Treasury Division**

**Contract Full-Time; 13 Months**

Reporting to the Supervisor, Corporate Reporting & Receivables, the Accounting Coordinator plays an important role within the Corporate Finance team. Your impact will be felt as you assist with the recording of revenues received for the Region of Peel into an electronic computerized system, reviewing payment certificate and holdback, supporting the client request related with certify cheque and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), and the processing of monthly chase fee with the bank and recording into a computerized system.

**What you will be accountable for**:

- Assisting with the processing of Cash Receipts Deposit transactions, ensuring transactions balance with actual bank advice and that all sources of revenue have been identified and correctly coded.
- Processing Chase fee monthly reconciliation and entry
- Reviewing Payment Certificate and hold back
- Processing the Accounts Payable electronic notifications for EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) payments.
- Work closely with bank for internal client request
- Prepare and track EFT letter per request
- Provide response to internal and external client enquiry
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma required. College diploma/University degree specifically in Accounting or Finance would be considered an asset.
- Three years of finance, accounting or equivalent administrative experience.
- Knowledge of the PeopleSoft Financials would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Detail oriented combined with an ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities in order to meet deadlines.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Effective team player.

**Location**:In this role you will work on-site a minimum of two times per week when required based on operational requirements at 10 Peel Centre Drive and the ability to work remotely. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.

**Hours of Work***:35 hours per week
