Payroll and Benefits Clerk

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the **Payroll and Benefits Clerk** performs weekly payroll duties in accordance with approved policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Completion of weekly payroll process for 400+ employees (hourly and salary), including temporary labour when required
- Coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure timely approvals of time sheets in order to process payroll.
- Process ROE through web portal
- Maintaining accurate employee files (manual and electronic)
- Respond to manager and employee inquiries around payroll, managing changes with respect to personal information, banking information and payroll discrepancies.
- Maintaining confidentiality

**Skills Required**:

- Proven experience as a payroll clerk in a medium to large organization (min 2 years)
- Excellent knowledge of excel and word
- Sound knowledge of ESA and relevant employment legislations
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize work, this is a deadline driven position
- Extreme attention to detail, strong data entry skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
