**The Position**:

- the provision of supervision, leadership, an oversight of the day-to-day operations of the assigned service team ensuring that the delivery of services is in accordance with the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, Ministry Standards and Guidelines and the Society’s Policies and Procedures
- contributing to the ongoing review and evaluation of service quality and effectiveness within the department and/or the Society as a whole;
- supporting and facilitating good working relationships within the Society and the Indigenous community.

**Qualifications**:

- Lived experience working with and building relationships with First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples and their communities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of traditional Indigenous culture.
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated highly satisfactory performance within child welfare setting including direct service experience and progressively increasing leadership experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge and respect of First Nations, Inuit and Métis culture, heritage and the historic relationship between child welfare and Indigenous peoples and the intergenerational impact of colonization and the impact of the legacy of Residential Schools and the Sixties Scoop upon them is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action, OACAS commitments, recommendations of the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls Report and the CYFSA regulations with respect to Indigenous children in care to redress the legacy of residential schools and advance the process of reconciliation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the culture, history and current oppressions experienced by people related to gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation faced within the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the culture, history and current oppressions experienced by Indigenous peoples and racialized communities.
- Applies anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-colonialism, anti-heterosexism and anti-cissexism lenses to social problems.
- Strong knowledge of the CYFSA.
- Inuktitut language skills will be considered an asset
