**Leasing Assistant, Commercial Office, and Retail**
**Purpose**:
The **Leasing Specialist **is responsible for supporting our Commercial Real Estate portfolio through their strong administrative and customer service expertise. In this role, you will be reporting directly to the Vice President, Director, and Property Manager. The Leasing Specialist ensures that all leasing inquiries, follow ups, and leasing paperwork is complete and addressed in a timely manner. You will serve as a liaison between tenants, in-house personnel, outside counsel and all relevant stakeholders. This high-touch, relationship focused role encompasses a strong combination of interpersonal skills, administrative expertise, and time management.
**Responsibilities**:
- Negotiate and administer leasing of all company portfolio under the Company’s directions
- Develop marketing and promotional strategies
- Provide tours if necessary
- Liaise with tenants to foster positive relationship and ensure their needs are attended to
- Provide support and direction to the Superintendents
- Work with contractors to ensure all maintenance issues are addressed in an effective and efficient manner
- Assist with matter relating to all company properties in accordance with Company standards
- Comply with applicable government regulations
- Ensure all maintenance issue are addressed in an effective and efficient manner
- Review and make notice of the property assessment appeals and property appraisals
- Coordinate as instructed by senior management the development of various projects by interacting with lawyers, consultants, architects, City and other organizations
- Handle other assigned projects (not limited to Company, as required
- Report to senior management
**Qualification**:
- Strong administrative experience in Commercial Property Management
- Minimum three (3) years experience in Commercial Property Management
- Knowledge of Commercial Leases
- Knowledge of basic accounting practices
- Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of commercial leasing
- Excel at planning, organization, and ability to meet deadlines proficiently
- Proven ability to identify, evaluate and develop new ideas with supportable results
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, and Outlook)
