**About the role**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation of parts for powder coating, including cleaning, masking, and hanging parts on racks.
- Operate equipment such as sandblasters, ovens, and spray guns under supervision.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and rework any defective parts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of coatings and materials.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with routine maintenance and cleaning of powder coating equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor.
- Taking direction from the Powder Coat Lead as requested
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in powder coating and/or industrial painting preferred
- Ability to lift and pull 50 lbs numerous times each day standing for extended periods and working in a high-temperature environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required

**Working Conditions**
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently exposed to odour, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The noise level inthe work environment can be loud. The temperature in the work environment is not regulated.

**Physical Requirements**
- Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as inspections for coat quality, colour variation, consistency.
- The incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for lifting and handling of heavy materials.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00 per hour
