Powder Coater Helper

**About the Opportunity**

RAM Elevators & Lifts Inc. is an industry-leading Edmonton-based manufacturer of residential and commercial elevators and accessibility lifts. We are currently seeking a self-motivated individual to join our team as a Powder Coater Helper

**About the role**

The Powder Coater Helper is responsible for supporting the Powder Coater in finishing products manufactured in our shop to ensure the highest quality. This individual must be able to work under mínimal supervision while performing efficiently in their role. Attention to detail and taking pride in one's work are vital to the success of this role.

**Responsibilities**
- Prep parts for coating
- Operate powder coating equipment including guns, hoppers and booth collection systems
- Ensure that all components are coated efficiently, and are consistent with company standards for quality and customer on-time performance
- Load and unload parts or product onto fixtures
- Conduct quality procedures. (The incumbent will be trained to determine coating quality by performing visual inspections)
- Perform safe work practices (You will be trained to properly clean and maintain equipment)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Taking direction from the Powder Coat Lead as requested

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in powder coating and/or industrial painting preferred
- Ability to lift and pull 50 lbs numerous times each day and stand for long periods of time
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively

**Working Conditions**
- While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently exposed to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The temperature in the work environment is not regulated.
- The job is repetitive

**Physical Requirements**
- Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as inspections for coat quality, color variation, consistency.
- The incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time and will require good physical attributes for lifting and handling of heavy materials.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
