SUSHI AI is looking for a Sushi Chef to join our team

The Sushi Chef is responsible for preparing sushi items to the chef’s specifications and to the standard menu. The Sushi Chef will also assist with dishwashing, washing and cleaning of all equipment and utensils used in sushi preparation. The Sushi Chef will also assist with any other duties that may arise from time to time.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Ability to read and understand food specifications
- Must be able to follow recipes, procedures, and food safety guidelines
- Must be able to follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow all opening and closing procedures for sushi bar.
- Maintain cleanliness of workspace and equipment.
- Maintain a high level of service to other employees and customers.
- Must be able to work weekends and nights when necessary.
- Flexibility is a must We open early (8am) and close (6pm) as needed. We have an open schedule during hours of operation which includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and closed shifts.

**Salary**: $14.50-$17.50 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- Chinese (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Food Handler Certification (preferred)
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (preferred)
- Day Shift (preferred)
