Summer Camp Program Lead

TOP Sports is looking to hire a responsible and energetic **Camp Program Lead to oversee our KIDS CAMP and Multi-Sport Camps (4-12 year olds) at our Linbrook summer sports camps** for the 2025 summer season.
All applicants should be very organized and outgoing, and bring plenty of energy, passion, and engagement to every day.
**Camp Lead Applicant Requirements**
- Experience working in a leadership role or capacity at a day or overnight camp
- Camp counselor or kid experience with children ages 4-12.
- Experience working with young children in a supervisory role as a teacher or early childhood educator is an asset.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of up to 2-3 counselors.
- Strong communication skills developed through previous supervisory roles along with the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills: ability to establish rapport and maintain excellent communication with campers, parents, and staff.
- Ability to encourage and motivate staff, and to acknowledge and appreciate the contributions of others.
- Works well with mínimal supervision, and asks for assistance when needed.
- Manages conflict situations appropriately and professionally.
- Excellent social and verbal communication skills.
- Required certifications include CPR & First-Aid, and Vulnerable Sector background check.
**Camp Lead Responsibilities include**:
- Camp Lead reports to the Camp Manager on site.
- Plan, guide, and oversee a section of the summer camp program, which includes 10-20 campers and 2-3 staff on a weekly basis.
- Oversee camp counselor, ensuring all staff are on-task and adhering to the TOP Sports Staff Code of Conduct.
- Oversee and implement all schedules for staff and campers in specific sections daily.
- Address crisis management, discipline, and troubleshooting issues related to campers and/or staff.
- Communicate professionally with campers, parents, staff members, and other community members daily.
- Responsible for adjusting daily camp activities and weekly schedules.
- Responsible for recording any incident or medical reports, including allergies, injuries, and conflicts.
- Responsible for execution of summer camp safety plan, including evacuation plan, inclement weather plan, and active threat plan.
- Coordination of all drop-off and pickup of campers throughout camp weeks, including any early pickups.
- Responsible for providing feedback to all camp counselors daily and through mid/end of season evaluation forms.
- Liaise with the Camp Manager on changes that need to be made to summer camp programming on a weekly basis, including staff changes, programming changes, and policy updates.
- Ensuring you are on-task and adhering to the TOP Sports Staff Code of Conduct.
- Operate all aspects of the summer camp program (including policies and procedures) in a safe, timely, efficient, and relevant manner in accordance with current standards.
- Responsible for traveling with and the safety of your group while at camp.
- Coordination of your group's drop-off and pickup of campers throughout week, including any early pickups.

- Pay Range:$760.00 - $810.00 per week
- Final compensation for this role will be determined by relevant experience and qualifications of the applicant.
**Pre-Camp Hours**:
- 5-10 hours in June working on camp preparation and camp training.
- Mandatory Camp Orientation Training: July 2 & 3 at De La Salle in Toronto
