Who We Are:
Modern Meat prides itself on using only real whole food ingredients in all its products. We create in kitchens with consumers in mind and are fierce advocates of providing alternative proteins from plants that are accessible, healthy, satisfying, and sustainable. We are deliberate in choosing ingredients free of soy, gluten, nuts, and GMOs. We want to change the way food is produced and consumed for the benefit of people, animals, and the environment by providing protein derived from natural sources. We're based in Vancouver, BC, and are looking to further our national expansion.
Overview:
You would be working as a full-time intern, working 8 hours shifts. You'd be expected to perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs as well as establishing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships. You'd be expected to reach out to some customer leads through cold calling. There would be agreed-upon sales targets that you would have to meet and coordinate sales with team members and other departments.
Job responsibilities:
- Cold calling
- Keeping up to date with company files
- Learning how to work with our software and adequately record and keep track of sales, orders, and other data and relay it to the rest of the team.
- Finding new stores and clients that would be willing to take on our products.
- Working with the lead sales associate.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Close attention to detail.
- Come up with ways to improve processes to set our sales teams up for success.
- Experience working with light data sets in tools like Excel and Google Sheets.
- 4th-year University students only
- Is willing to continue on as an employee after the initial internship
- Available to work full-time hours for a 4, 8, or 12-month term.

- You have an entrepreneurial mindset and you are good at working in a fast-paced environment.
- You are results-focused and have a proven track record of success in a quota-carrying role.
