**Pricing Coordinator**: The Pricing Coordinator is involved with all aspects of product pricing; this includes setting new prices (utilizing intelligence from internal and external sources), reviewing existing prices and creating profitability reports. The pricing coordinator maintains efficient communication and pricing awareness between all stakeholders within the company and works collaboratively with various teams in cross-functional projects such as product development, marketing, sales and operations to determine product pricing. For existing products, this role is responsible for obtaining current cost information to determine current profitability and for monitoring profitability and making recommendations for price increases; working with departments to create a plan for implementing the price increase/change. For new product pricing, the Pricing Coordinator will gather cost and market intelligence information to develop pricing and profitability recommendations. The Pricing Coordinator will report to the Director of Finance and has a strong working relationship with the entire Petcurean team, so strong communication skills are key. **Responsibilities**: **Analyze Pricing Data** - The primary duty of the pricing coordinator is to assess data from a variety of sources and using it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. This includes updating and loading pricelists in systems. - With multiple markets, and multiple intelligence required, utilizes several quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, costing and commodity tracking and track customer engagement to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies. - Analyze retail sales data to identify pricing issues. - Analyze data related to return on investment (ROI) for existing instore promotional programs and/or marketing and sales programs (when time permits). **Develop Forecasts and Models** - Prepares reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including the effect on margin and cost and how they will impact profitability and sales volume. These forecasts may also include information related to the market as a whole. - Develop model for setting pricing for new products in development prior to final costing being available from manufacturing partners. **Determine Pricing Strategies** - Works closely with sales and marketing to develop and enact competitive pricing strategies. **Monitor Industry Trends** - Monitors pricing and market trends within the pet food industry as a whole and within different geographical markets. - Communicates trends that may have potential to improve sales volume or profitability, may recommend pricing strategies that align closely with these trends. - By actively monitoring industry trends, develops strategies that take advantage of untapped market segments and help the company gain market share in new avenues. **Develop Pricing Tools** - Assists in the development of pricing tools to more quickly respond to changing market needs or trends. These tools may include dynamic pricing that allows the company to quickly adjust prices to enhance sales volume and conversion rates, as well as tools that streamline the analysis process and provide more immediate information about competitor prices and promotions. **Present Findings to Key Decision-Makers** - Presents findings to senior management, marketing teams, and sales personnel through weekly or monthly meetings. - Translate complex data into actionable strategies and techniques to drive sales and enhance marketing efforts. May prepare both written reports and visual presentations to share findings. **Other** - Other duties as requested within the same scope and level. **Qualifications**: - Minimum of one-year recent, related work experience in product costing, pricing or cost accounting; - Bachelor's degree with a concentration in mathematics or statistics; or accounting, business administration; - Advanced Microsoft office skills, with an emphasis on Excel; - Rigorous attention to detail; - Ability to create, access, analyze and manipulate large databases using a variety of software programs; - Excellent analytical, judgement and problem-solving abilities; - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a manner than can be understood by multiple audiences; - Ability to manage cross functional communication while managing multiple points of decision making; - Ability to manage and organize a multitude of priorities and deadlines; - An ability to coordinate several different tasks and work within a busy office environment; - Proactive approach; always seeking new and innovative strategies and ideas with a "can do" attitude. **Hours of Work**: This is a full-time position with regular office hours from Monday to Friday.
