We are looking for smart, enthusiastic, and dedicated applicants to fill Full-Time positions as part of our Industrial Textiles Team in our Port Coquitlam facility. **Position**:

- Member of our Industrial TextilesTeam.
- Work would be varied as we try to ensure that people are able to rotate through the different machinery / tasks / projects.
- Opportunity for advancement and skills development.

**Responsibilities include**:
This position requires the ability to read and understand shop drawings, work instructions in order to pattern, cut and assemble fabric and narrow tape webbing for products such as rescue harnesses, load bearing lanyards, etc. Prior experience using a needle and walking foot industrial sewing machine.

**Required Abilities**:

- Proficiency with Single and/or Double Needle Industrial Machines
- Experience with automated sewing machines such as Pattern Machines and Bartackers
- Able to perform general fabric layouts and cutting
- Organizational skills with attention to detail
- Work well in both team and individual settings
- Good math skill in the following: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Reasonable spoken and written communication skills (English)
- Ability to work with limited supervision

**Desired Skills**:

- Experience with heavy weight materials
- Embroidery experience
- An understanding of pattern making and general fabric construction
- Knowledge of machine maintenance and simple repairs would be considered an asset
- Experience with harness design and inspection (training provided)
- Workflow planning and layout
- An understanding of working around webbing and ropes

**Salary**: $20.00-$21.50 per hour
