Clow Canada is Canada’s only manufacturer of fire hydrants, valves and ancillary products for the waterworks industry in Canada. Clow Canada is wholly owned by McWane Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of fire hydrants, valves and ductile iron pipe in North America. Clow Canada’s manufacturing facility is located in Saint John, N.B. with a sales and head office in Hamilton, Ont. and a stocking warehouse in Medicine Hat Alberta.
Clow Canada (Location: Hamilton) has a staff opening for the position of: Accounts Payable Clerk (Location: Hamilton, Ontario)
Position Summary: Responsible for performing accounting and administrative duties related to the timely and efficient maintenance and processing of account payable transactions. Duties and Responsibilities:Sort, log, scan and file invoices, checks and other documentsExecute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policiesVerify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handlingCarry out additional projects as requiredProvide administrative assistance to the Finance departmentHelp with internal and external audits as requiredProvide customer service to internal business partnersDemonstrated knowledge of Invoice processingFoundational Knowledge in Expense codingCheque run experiencesOpen, sort and deliver department mail on a daily basis.
Education and Skills:2 + years related experience in Accounts payablePost secondary education in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Word, Excel)Experience using Dynamics AX would be assetWorking knowledge of spreadsheets and databasesGood organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent Interpersonal Skills and able to work within a teamGood communication skills (i.e verbal and written)Must be able to work independentlyMust maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
