Production Team Member

Reporting to the Production Supervisor(s), the Production Team Member will verify and keep records on incoming shipments. This integral role within our millwork division will verify information, count, weighs, and measures items to confirm information against bills of lading, invoices, purchase orders. This role also ensures accuracy of product deliveries and shipments along with picking hardware in preparation for production run.
Essential Functions**:

- Compliance with Riverside policies, Health & Safety Program, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Under the direction of the manager, receive products and materials from suppliers.
- Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocated appropriate space within the warehouse.
- Assist in physically moving incoming items to designated storage areas.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and determine safe ways for stacking items on trucks and in the warehouse.
- Operate forklift when required, to pick material and transport to designated warehouse spaces.
- Transport products from the receiving dock and place them into their designated locations.
- Receive transfer truck materials from other locations: confirm, receive, and distribute products to other departments.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to the Receiving Lead.
- Accurately count materials being received and confirm against the BOL from the driver.
- Responsible for performing inventory counts.
- Keep warehouse areas and aisles clean and in order.
- Participates in year-end inventory counts.
- General cleanup of warehouse including but not limited to trash, debris, etc.
- Demonstrates courtesy and professionalism with all team members, clients, homeowners, and trades.
- Perform duties as directed.

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- High School Diploma is preferred.
- Health & Safety Courses/Training: WHMIS and Health & Safety Awareness Training (HSAT).
- Forklift certification considered an asset.

**Experience**:

- 1+ years’ of receiving experience is preferred.
- Warehouse experience is an asset.
- Industry knowledge of products and materials preferred.
