**Business Development Manager (CPG, Work from Home)**

Our client, a leading Food & Beverage Consumer Goods Company, is looking to hire a **Business Development Manager** on a **Permanent, Full-Time basis** to support their growing business.

This is a **Remote Work-from-home** role, that will require travel to retailers, and occasional travel to company’s headquarters in the USA.

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Business Development Manager, will be responsible for delivering sales and profit targets for assigned brands in Food, Drug & Mass channels nationally for Canada through leading and managing Brokers and DSD Distributors.

The Business Development Manager will lead the strategic direction, development, planning and execution for the brands at retail; and will develop strong relationships with sales partners and customers.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with applicable regional brokers, DSD distributors and customers to ensure execution of all programs
- In conjunction with Marketing, develop and execute the sales strategy and planning
- Responsible for P&L for Canadian retailer landscape
- Responsible for Trade Spend strategy and management for the portfolio
- Forecasts all items, communicates with internal production teams, deals with any residual inventory issues
- Works with Marketing & cross-functional teams in the development of new products for the Canadian retail marketplace
- Develops trade presentations and reviews in conjunction with sales partners
- Leads execution of in-store consumer directed initiatives
- Develops strong relationships both internally and externally

**Qualifications**
- Completion of post-secondary education in a related field
- 3-5+ years previous National Account Management or Key Account Management experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods
- Additional experience in Trade Marketing and/or Sales Strategy an asset
- Experience managing Brokers and/or Distributors an asset
- Experience in the Food industry an asset
- Strong foundation in Category Management principles and story-telling
- Ability to monitor and effectively manage spending budgets
- A proven track record of establishing business leads and building long lasting relationships with established FDM retailers, brokers, and distributors
- Adept with Nielsen analytical tools
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Valid Driver’s License
