**The position**
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's day-to-day activities. Working in a small collaborative team, this person will act as a leader, developing strategies and processes to optimize operational efficiency and cost, while also working side-by-side with team members on execution.
This person plays a key role in ensuring that all orders are fulfilled in a timely and cost-effective manner, and distributors and customers alike have a positive experience purchasing our products.
**Key responsibilities**
- Recommend and implement processes, procedures, and systems to drive operational effectiveness.
- Lead, organize and coach team members.
- Support in implementing a WMS system.
- Oversee establishment of new 3PLs.
- Manage order fulfillment for all of Gleener’s distribution channels (online and in-store purchases).
- Receive and process orders from our customers via EDI or e-commerce sites.
- Manage and oversee order fulfillment with 3PL and coordinate drop-shipping to customers.
- Pick, pack, prepare, ship, track and invoice orders.
- Manage couriers, including quotes, international shipments, customs clearance, deliveries/pickups, tracking and following-up.
- Adjust inventory records to reflect product movement.
- Prepare weekly reports on sales metrics.
- Perform customer service duties as necessary, responding to inquiries and providing updates on order status.
- Maintain accurate records in ERP system (invoices, inventory, and other data).
- Assist in inventory ordering, receiving, sorting, organizing, and monitoring; ensuring accurate product quantities.
- Assist in forecasting inventory.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Prepare shipments of samples and promotional packages when required.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**:
- Min. 3 years of management experience in a similar industry.
- Ability to lead, coach and influence team members.
- Hands-on approach to work with a get-it-done attitude.
- Extremely detail oriented, well organized, and self-motivated
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Strong computer proficiency
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, positive, and collaborative team player
- Excellent English communication skills; proficiency to work in French (an asset)
- Experience in e-commerce and/or dropship setting (an asset)
- Experience working with Amazon (an asset)
- Experience with inventory management or QuickBooks Enterprise software (an asset)
- Experience with an EDI system (an asset)
**Work conditions**:
- This role must be completed onsite, 5 days/week
- Schedule: Monday-Friday (37.5 hours/week), flexible hours
