**Rate of Pay: $39.03 - $49.72 per hour**

The Mental Health Outpatient Program requires two full time highly organized team players who will join our interprofessional team to assist us in carrying out the mission of St. Joseph's Care Group. This role requires a demonstrated appreciation of client-centred strength based care including the importance of accessibility, accountability, best practices and evaluation. It also requires knowledge and/or experience with decision guide processes, brief services including group and individual counselling, motivational interviewing, evidenced based practices, and holistic programming.

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary education in one of the following degrees - Master of Social Work Degree; Master in Counselling; Master in Clinical Psychology.
- Current registration in good standing with applicable professional college (e.g. Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, Ontario College of Psychologists, College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario)
- Knowledge and experience with referral processes and triage, decision guide processes and system navigation, assessing and treating individuals with serious and persistent mental illness
- Demonstrated skills in assessments, treatment, individual and group counselling
- Training and experience in motivational interviewing and solution focused methods, principles in self management and strengths-based interventions
- Experience/training in a variety of evidence based therapies such as: solution focused therapy, EMDR, CPT, CBT, DBT, and group therapies, ASIST training or equivalent
- Knowledge and skills in a range of theoretical perspectives, psychosocial rehabilitation principles, self-management and holistic wellness approaches
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of an interprofessional team with skills, knowledge and attitudes in: interprofessional communication; patient/client/family/community-centred care; role clarification; team functioning; collaborative leadership and interprofessional conflict resolution
- Should have knowledge of Indigenous worldviews, cultural practices and understand the impact of colonization on Indigenous populations, would be considered an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, judgment, critical thinking skills, problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to utilize technology to effectively document in electronic medical records and retrieve relevant information
- Knowledge of the work and programs within St. Joseph's Care Group mental health and community resources, and an understanding of relevant legislation (i.e., Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, PHIPA), knowledge of other community services and programs for adults
- Demonstrated regular attendance at work

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
