The Mental Health Outpatient Program requires a full time highly organized team player who will join our interprofessional team to assist us in carrying out the mission of St. Joseph's Care Group. This role requires a demonstrated appreciation of client-centred strength based care including the importance of accessibility, accountability, best practices and evaluation. It also requires knowledge and/or experience with decision guide processes, brief services including group and individual counselling, motivational interviewing, evidenced based practices, and holistic programming.

**Qualifications**:

- Master of Social Work degree (MSW) with training and/or certification in a specialty area preferred (e.g. geriatrics, addictions, mental health, concurrent disorders, rehabilitation, etc.)
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Thorough knowledge of the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice as set out by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Advanced knowledge of values and ethics, theory and best practices of clinical social work
- Comprehensive understanding of the social determinants of health of Indigenous people and the social consequences and risk factors associated with client conditions (i.e. addictions, mental health )
- Experience related to client care for people from Indigenous, geriatric, and addictions and mental health populations
- Advanced knowledge of family systems and family dynamic skills in working with families
- Advanced knowledge of community systems and resources for the purposes of networking between the facility/program and other services
- Indigenous educational background directly related to social work preferred
- Indigenous language fluency and/or Indigenous cultural education an asset
- Specialized clinical experience and/or training may be required or preferred for some positions
