**Position Summary**: This role is responsible to lead the distribution center people, processes and systems for accurate, on-time in full picking and shipping to customers. The role is accountable to continuously improve productivity, expenses, safety, quality, pick and inventory accuracy, throughout and space utilization. responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximizing productivity of our distribution centre. Organizing workflow and ensuring that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Monitoring employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.

**What You'll Do Here**:

- Directly lead a team of approx. 15-20 employees in distribution department.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Mentors and coaches Lead staff in supervising and directing employees
- Oversees forklift drivers and material handlers to achieve departmental and site performance objectives, including cost, service and quality.
- Lead, develop and mentor all direct reports; conduct performance management reviews on time provide meaningful feedback; establish goals and objectives for each team member in alignment with the broader organizations focus.
- Provides for the orderly and accurate receipt of all inbound deliveries and shipments
- Reviews inbound load schedule and works with transportation to adjust loads if receiving capacity is exceeded to avoid detention charges
- Facilitates and support setup and execution of replenishment activities
- Supervises the picking, packing, and shipping of all Domestic and International shipments
- Ensures all orders are processed accurately and on time
- Coordinates and schedules all dock activities including quality audits on shipments
- Coordinates and conducts cycle count program including variance research, root cause analysis, and reconciliation
- Ensures consistent safety and process training of all material handlers and provide documentation and tracking of all training in assigned areas

**What You'll Bring To The Team**:

- College Diploma 2-year degree or technical training preferred
- Minimum 5 years of Distribution supervisory experience in a unionized CPG environment preferred
- Must be detail oriented and require mínimal supervision
- Ability to use sound judgment in decision making
- Strong analytical skills including the ability to problem solve
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Possess skills to develop and implement new procedures and policies to simplify and improve operations.
