**9514 - Production Labourer**

**Main Functions**

Fabricate various architectural sheet metal products such as drip flashings, cap flashings, window and door flashings, sub-girt and more.

**Reports to**:
Fabrication Manager

**Main duties**:
The production labourer performs the following duties:
Ø Read work order specifications to determine length, girth, gauge and color of finished product.

Ø Select and transport material to different work areas manually or using machinery.

Ø Operate metalworking machines to cut punch, drill, and shape or straighten sheet metal

Ø Perform preventative maintenance on the equipment and its tooling, as well as, small electric and air tools.

Ø Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specifications

Ø Assist in inventory control.

Ø Promote a safety culture as well as attend all safety meetings

Ø Ensure work areas remain clean and well organized.

Ø Other duties as required.

**Employment requirements**:
Ø NO FORMAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Ø Experience in Sheetmetal work an asset, but NOT REQUIRED.

Ø Obey all on-site and company safety requirements in accordance to OH&S Act and Regulations.

Ø Participate in the company safety culture by attending tail gate meetings and other such activities required.

Ø Must be fit to perform physical work and to lift a minimum of 23 kg (50 lbs).

Ø Demonstrate team playing attitude, must be punctual and proficient in spoken English.

Ø Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

**Additional information**:
Ø Product specific training provided on-site.

Ø Must own safety steel toed boots.

Ø Lots of opportunity for growth in our new upcoming, larger facility.

Ø Must be punctual and safety oriented.

Ø Shop located in **EDMONTON**, Alberta.

**Working Conditions**:
Ø Daytime training with our day crew will occur for 2 weeks (March 17th - 28th)

Ø NIGHTTIME SHIFT to begin March 31st and to last for 6 weeks, roughly around May 16th.

Ø Night shift to occur Monday to Fridays, starting at 3:00PM until 12:00 AM for 9 hours minimum.

Ø 1 hour lunch break (0.5 hour of which is paid).

Ø May be required to work overtime.

Ø Frequent exposure to excessive noise, dirt and other possible dangers.

Ø Fast paced environment, attention to details an asset.

With on-the-job training and mentorship, you will operate and maintain metal brakes effectively. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager, your role involves interpreting work orders, ensuring quality inspection of finished products and diligent packaging for site use. Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
