Job Description

**Primary Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Perform inspection of precision parts and assemblies to customer drawings and specifications (using tools such as calipers, height gauges, plug gauges, CMM’s, micrometers)
- Generate First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102
- Generate Customer Required documents such as C of C’s for product
- Data collection and generation of non-conformance reports
- Document/discuss unacceptable or inferior quality materials with internal and external parties and take corrective action
- Internal auditing of control plans and process conformance
- Participate in Kaizen events & 6S initiatives
- All other duties as assigned

**Required Skills/Competencies**:

- Ability to read blueprint drawings and specifications
- Adequate working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Six Sigma/5S Lean Manufacturing training (MPC, SPC, FMEA, Process Mapping);
- Well versed in Geometric Tolerances
- Team work
- Strong written and verbal communication

**Required Experience**:

- 2+ years comprehensive inspection experience, within the aerospace industry considered an asset
- ISO 9001 or AS9100 experience
- CMM experience

**Level of Education**:

- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Certificate in Quality Assurance/Quality Technician preferred.
