**Job Summary**

The Youth Justice Worker provides essential support to high-behavior youth involved in the justice system, focusing on rehabilitation, personal growth, and successful reintegration into society. This role emphasizes crisis intervention, behavioral management, and mentorship in a structured and supportive environment.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Provide direct support to youth with high-behavior needs, addressing their unique challenges and triggers.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to promote positive behavioral changes.
- Manage and de-escalate crisis situations using proven strategies and techniques.
- Facilitate life skills training, including conflict resolution, anger management, and decision-making.
- Collaborate with families, legal professionals, social workers, educators, and community resources to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor compliance with court-ordered conditions and assist with probation and parole obligations.
- Foster a safe, structured, and non-judgmental environment for youth to encourage accountability and growth.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions, progress, and program outcomes for legal and organizational reporting.
- Advocate for youth in various systems, ensuring their needs and best interests are represented.
- Organize community service projects, educational workshops, and job-readiness programs to build skills and confidence.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Diploma or degree in **Child and Youth Work (CYW)**, **Social Work (SSW)**, or related fields.
- Proven experience **working with high-behavior youth**, including **crisis management**and **behavioral intervention.**:

- Strong understanding of **trauma-informed care practices** and restorative justice principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to engage and build rapport with youth, families, and professionals.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively to high-stress situations.
- Knowledge of the youth justice system and community resources.
- **Mandatory**: Clear Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector Screening) and valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as required.
