**Financial Controller Job Description**

ANG Group of Chef Inspired restaurants is an integrated group of restaurants and real estate companies based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join our team.

The Financial Controller works in a team environment to provide overall financial services to our growing group of companies. This role is integral to ensuring the monthly accounting cycle is completed without error to allow for accurate reporting to management. The Financial Controller is responsible for establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems related to: accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.

Responsibilities will include:

- Ensures the integrity of financial records are compliant with legislation, regulations, and

policies.

Leads the development of financial reports and analysis.
- Monitors cash flow and treasury management.
- Coordinates and prepares the budget and financial forecasts.
- Manages all aspects of the financial operations for the group of companies (including

processes for Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, and General Ledger).
- Oversees payroll approval ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee payments.
- Supports month-end and year-end close processes.
- Stays up to date on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- 5+ years of accounting and financial administration experience.
- Experience leading financial teams with focus on developing and mentoring staff.
- Strong analytical, budgeting, forecasting, troubleshooting, and reporting skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Restaurant and Property accounting experience considered an asset.
- Experience with Sage, Auto-Entry, Ceridian, and Microsoft office considered an asset.
