**About Our school**

Earth Child Montessori School was established in 2001. It is an early learning Montessori program designed for infants and children up to 12 years old. We are a government-licensed Montessori daycare center and a member of the American Montessori Society (AMS). In the past 20 years, our school has been expanding continuously. We have over 180 children ranging from ages 1 to 12 enrolled in our programs.

**Duties**
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Assess and monitor children's progress, providing feedback to parents regarding their child's development.
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging social skills and teamwork through group activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Participate in school activities and events like professional developmental days, parent-teacher conference, winter concert, and etc.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs, including those of children with disabilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

- Strong leadership skills to guide children in their learning journey.
- Excellent time management skills to balance lesson planning, teaching, and administrative tasks.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Organizational skills to maintain a structured classroom setting.
- Knowledge of educational principles that support the cognitive development of young children.
- Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication within the school community.
- Skills in computer operation for educational purposes and record keeping.

**Requiremens & Certificates**:

- 2 years related work experience
- Local SIN Number
- Effective BC Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License
- First Aid
- Valid Working Visa/ Working Permit
