Customer Service Representative/claim

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and process basic insurance claims under supervision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policy terms.
- Provide information and assistance to customers and brokers regarding claim status, procedures, and required documentation.
- Maintain a professional, empathetic, and positive attitude in all interactions.
- Support claims intake, data entry, and document management functions.
- Acknowledge and escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior examiners or supervisors.
- Keep detailed records of customer interactions, transactions, and claim progress.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and support timely claim settlements.
- Identify recurring issues or feedback and report them to improve processes and service delivery.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in insurance, business, or a related field is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are considered an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
