Location: Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada Hours: 35 hours per week Line Of Business: TD Insurance Pay: $49,050 – $73,600 CAD (base salary; varies by role experience, skills, geography and business needs) Job Description: TD Insurance, part of TD Bank Group, offers a broad range of consumer and commercial insurance products. We protect clients from the ‘accidents of life’ with credit protection, life, health, travel, home and auto insurance. We operate across Canada with a national network of over 1,000 branches and online channels. Team: Auto Claims Advisors work at TD Auto Centres, providing a one‑stop shop for customers to drop off their vehicle, receive a rental, and speak to a claims professional. What You’ll Do: Represent TD Insurance as an Auto Claims Advisor, facilitating and coordinating a claim from start to finish. Support customer claims: arrange towing, set up appraisals, explain coverage and options. Gather, organize and verify required information and documentation to resolve claims efficiently. Reconcile estimates from vendors, ensuring appropriate settlements for vehicle damages. Maintain a positive file count and open/close ratio, contributing to team productivity objectives. Collaborate with internal partners, stakeholders and external vendors such as Enterprise and repair shops. Experience Growth: Research coverage scenarios and apply knowledge to claim files. Demonstrate customer‑centric and strategic objectives, contributing to TD Insurance Group deliverables. Culture of Care: Greet and welcome customers at TD Auto Centres. Apply unbiased, appropriate methods to achieve fair and equitable claim settlements. Communicate clear claims processing requirements, maintain detailed notes and provide timely updates. Participate as a supportive team member and contribute to a positive work environment. Job Requirements: At least one year of claims adjusting experience preferred; open to applicants without claims experience. Postsecondary education is an asset. Excellent customer service skills; dedicated to exceeding expectations of internal and external clients. Superior time‑management skills; thrives in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities. Proven ability to negotiate positive outcomes when possible. Clear and professional written and verbal communication, with active listening skills. Strong investigative skills; able to analyze evidence and identify gaps. Support for process improvements. Active pursuit of Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other relevant continuing education preferred. Provincial claims licensing may be required.
