An educator plays a crucial role in making the programs interesting, interactive, and inclusive, encouraging a sense of exploration for each child. This should all be done in accordance with the vision, brand, and culture of Childventures.

We are currently looking for an educator to fill a part time contract. This contract is 12 weeks and may be extended, upon approval, and could turn into a full-time role, depending on campus requirements. Please note this is an entry level position, 6.5 hours per day.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- You will spend your time one on one with one child, working in a larger group setting.
- You will work closely with various therapists including, but not limited to Intensive Behavioral Interventionists (IBI), Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists and Occupational Therapists to achieve pre-determined developmental goals for the child in your care.
- You would be responsible for maintaining a high-quality environment, assessing, stimulating, observing, influencing, and caring for the child under your care, in their classroom environment, outdoors and in any program within the center.
- You will be educating your child in accordance with the designated Childventures curriculum models for their age group and capabilities, while maintaining open and honest lines of communication with parents/guardians and CV team members, and always exemplifying integrity.
- Your responsibilities and tasks shall always be done in accordance with the Mission Statement of Childventures Early Learning Academy.
- Daily observations.
- Maintain child records.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Previous experience in an Early Childhood Educator position is an asset
- Early Childhood education including:

- RECE Registered Early Childhood Educator
- ECE Early Childhood Educator
- CYW Child Youth Worker
- CYC Child and Youth Care
- ECA Early Childhood Assistant
- EA Educational Assistant

**MINISTRY REQUIREMENTS**:

- 2 Step TB
- Updated Immunizations (Tetanus, MMR)
- Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
