**Position & Team Overview**

FinDev Canada’s Portfolio Management Team is an integral part of the Investments Team, who as a whole is responsible for originating, structuring, documentation, credit approval process, closing and managing tailored financial solutions to private sector companies contributing to the sustainable development of emerging market developing economies.

The Portfolio Management team’s core task consists of the supervision of FinDev Canada’s portfolio of transactions from post-closing to final repayment, in close coordination with other relevant business units.

The Analyst/Associate, Portfolio Management, will be responsible for contributing to our portfolio management activities by supporting the Investment Officers on the management specific transactions, including through financial and credit analysis, and monitoring of contractual compliance.

**What You Will Be Doing**
- **Transaction Management**: Contribute to the portfolio management activities, including spreading of financial statements, review of covenant compliance, analysis and processing of waivers, amendments, consents and disbursement requests.
- **Covenant Compliance**:Track FinDev Canada’s counterparties covenants (financial, impact, business integrity, environmental and social) to ensure they are complied with.
- **Investment Reviews**:Support Investment Officers in the preparation of annual reviews, credit rating updates, and periodic valuations of each investment in the portfolio.
- **Documentation Review**: Review existing loan, equity, fund and project finance documentation to ensure key compliance elements are adequately reflected in monitoring systems and assess client reports ensuring adherence to contractual requirements and compliance with FinDev Canada’s policies and procedures.
- **Process Improvement**:Assist in the development and review of existing portfolio management processes to help ensure alignment of FinDev Canada with industry best practices in Portfolio Management activities.
- **Communication and Reporting**:Participate in internal discussions and external stakeholder engagement related to the portfolio.

**What We Are Looking For**

Must-haves

**Experience**:

- Analyst - Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Associate - Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.

**Educational Background**:

- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics or related.

**Key Skills**:

- Strong analytical, quantitative, financial modelling and conceptual skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

**Keen interest**:

- **I**n development finance and working in a multicultural environment.

Nice-to-Haves

**Language Proficiency**:
