Portfolio Manager

**Your day-to-day**

**_ Prioritization and portfolio management_**
- **Share and make visible to the portfolio team the requests and needs in order to have a consolidated view.**:

- **Actively participate in strategic prioritization activities to build and maintain a backlog of requests and a roadmap within agreed upon parameters (e.g., budget, timeline, scope, benefits and expected value).**:

- **Execute in accordance with the portfolio life cycle stages.**:

- **Monitor project execution to ensure alignment with the portfolio's strategic planning and therefore the achievement of the organization's strategic objectives**:

- **Accompany, follow and support managers and their teams in the preparation of strategic business cases and Lean Business Cases.**:
**_ Process_**
- **Ensure portfolio compliance with the standards established by the Portfolio Management Office and the various authorities.**

**- Collaborate on a regular basis with all portfolio stakeholders - both Business and IT - to resolve prioritization conflicts, identify potential discrepancies with the proposed roadmap and assist in the development of contingency plans.**
- **Contribute to the sound execution of cross-functional processes and identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of these processes.**:
**_ Monitoring and Reporting_**
- **Create reports and views that provide visibility into the portfolio to produce consolidated reporting for strategic decision making by management.**:

- **Contribute to providing data that feeds into the performance indicators of our cross-functional portfolio management processes.**:

- **Provide the necessary information for the preparation of the investment envelopes associated with the various portfolios and in the implementation of the required monitoring mechanisms.**:

- **Provide the necessary support for the execution of the budget, audit and benefits monitoring processes.**:

- **Represent APMO in various forums and participate in multi-sectoral roundtables.**:
**Your background and skills**
- DEC or BAC in computer science, administration or any other relevant training at the same level
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of project and portfolio management
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and priority management skills
- Strong tolerance for ambiguity and uncertainty
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to interact with and influence key stakeholders at various levels of management in their decision making process
- Excellent English and French language skills, both oral and written, due to frequent interactions with English and French speaking colleagues and internal partners
- Knowledge of the financial and insurance industry (asset).
- Mastery of large-scale agility, specifically the SAFe® framework (asset).
