**Summary**

The **Manager Aviation Technical Services** is the primary manager providing the operational oversight and overseeing the dispatch and cost effectiveness of Aviation Services resources including NDT, IFE/C, water sampling, and airline line service support activities across Canada and the US. The Manager Aviation Technical Services will report directly to the Senior Director of Maintenance for all standards/procedures and regulatory issues related to Aviation Services Activities. The incumbent will also report to the Senior Director of Maintenance for all issues related to planning and implementing the specifics of client agreements (staffing, equipment/material resources, facilities, etc.) as cost effectively as possible. The Manager Aviation Tech Services will have dotted-line reporting responsibilities to the Aviation Services Business Leader for all Business Development and client relationship activities.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and manage work activities for NDT, IFE/C, water sampling, and airline line service support staff across Canada and the US;
- Develop and manage schedules and resource loading;
- Follow-up on service issues to ensure timely completion of work orders;
- Review daily timekeeping reports to validate hours and related overtime;
- Review and validate billing with the Finance department;
- Support the implementation of, and ensure direct reports respect company procedures and policies (e.g. 6S, safety, SMS, SPPs, etc.);
- Oversee safety and SMS investigations as may be assigned from time to time;
- Short term travel may be required from time to time;
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Director - Maintenance; and
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

**Business Development & Client Relations**
- Act as a key point of contact to clients requiring Aviation Service support;
- Support the Sales team as necessary when they respond to Request For Quotations (RFQs);
- Address client concerns as may be necessary and escalate such concerns if needed to the Business Unit Leader and Senior Director of Maintenance
- Assist in identifying growth opportunities and Support the expansion and growth of the Aviation Services line of business; and
- Perform other Business Development & Client Relations tasks as assigned by the Business Unit Leader.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Grade 12
- Full understanding of systems on various corporate M2 category aircraft
- 3-5 years in corporate aviation
- Supervisory/Management experience
- Sound troubleshooting skills
- Good computer skills. Able to interrogate and download information from aircraft and their engines using a PC laptop.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint)

**Preferred requirements**
- Successful completion of a Transport Canada approved Aircraft Maintenance Technical training program or related college diploma/university degree
- Hold a valid AME license category M2 with a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Licensed AME is an asset
