**Key Activities Strategy**:
Contribute to the development of Chartwell’s growth through the optimal leasing of the commercial space in our residences across Canada. Develop and execute strategies for sources of additional commercial revenue such as roof top leases.

**Management and Reporting**:

- Manage and report on the performance of the commercial lease portfolio.
- Maintain a commercial lease database using Legisway software. Effectively manage special situations such as lease terminations and restructurings

**Collaboration**:

- Effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary internal and external teams to execute on lease negotiation, structuring, document preparation, and closing.
- Promote Chartwell’s culture of accountability for results throughout the organization.
- Exhibit and communicate Chartwell’s values, vision, mission and cultural beliefs in all interactions with internal and external stakeholders and service providers.

**Real Estate Asset Management**:
Work with the Real Estate team to assist as needed with a wide variety of assignments that may include commercial leasing, property repositionings, acquisitions, dispositions, partnerships, and other matters.

**Qualifications**

**Experience**:
2+ years of experience in the Real Estate industry. Business or Law degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in the following areas:

- Lease structuring, drafting, and negotiations
- Lease terminations and restructurings
- Database management and reporting

**Education**:
Bachelor in Business or Law an asset, but not a requirement

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Fluency in English and French, both written and oral
- Detail oriented
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently most of the time
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities
- The ability to communicate and adhere to Chartwell’s vision, values and mission.
