**HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST**
**SUMMARY**:
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manages SNGRDC’s HRIS System, Criterion. Stays informed of system updates and improvements for implementation. Trains new Team Members and Mangers on how to use the system and provides ongoing guidance as needed.
- Tracking and auditing Team Member training.
- Works with management team to identify training gaps, recommendations, and solutions, and coordinates corporate training initiatives with 3rd party vendors.
- Responsible for the Team Member development and performance management, and separation.
- Prepares documents necessary during the Team Member life cycle - I.e., Proof of Employment letters, annual Merit Increase letters, Letters of Separation etc.
- Work with Managers and Department Leads to produce and maintain a high level of Team Member Retention.
- Maintains Performance Management Program for all SNGRDC. Collects information from Department Managers and implements annual goals and review outlines into Criterion.
- Work with Managers to facilitate/manage Team Member accommodations, return to work and leave of absences including WSIB case management and return to work management and Long-Term Disability cases.
- Assists with new processes and special projects.
- Assists Finance with bi-weekly Payroll ensuring hours and payments are accurate, and any incentives are being paid correctly.
- Responsible for Team Member Benefits and Pension Administration including enrollment, maintenance, and termination. Assist Team Members in completing documents or directing them to the correct contact for assistance.
- Assists Managers with Performance Management concerns by providing guidance on how to fill out appropriate forms and attending Performance Management meetings where necessary.
- Handles Team Member concerns and strives to resolve them in a positive, timely manner.
- Investigates internal complaints and propose appropriate actions.
- Analyzes Team Member Relations trends and presents findings and recommendations after careful research.
- Maintains an accurate record of Team Member interactions, recommendations, and communications.
- Assists HR Director in the planning of Corporate Events and meetings.
- Assists with job analysis including collecting and analyzing data and skills, creating job descriptions, and maintaining competitive market and industry standards for proper placement on Job Classification Grid.
- Prepares reports related to the Team Member lifecycle.
- Attends job fairs on and off reserve as necessary.
- Ensures all personnel documents are accurate and maintained.
- Remains current with industry trends and employment legislation.
- Assist in creating a positive culture that reflects the corporation values.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information relating to the activities of SNGRDC.
- Attends strategy sessions as necessary.
- Perform other administrative duties as required.

**EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE***
Minimum Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management, plus three (3) years of work-related experience.
- CHRP or CHRL designation or working towards.
- Practical experience of Human Resources Management System (HRMS) software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong research skills.
- Exercise discretion, judgment, and high degree of confidentiality in handling information.
- Must demonstrate high level of initiative, self-direction and ability to work independently.
- Must pass police record check.
- Willingness to learn, accept change, and adapt to new ideas, business concepts, and cultures.
- Flexible (extra hours may be required on occasion).
**IMPACT OF ERROR**
Error in judgement may lead to loss of credibility, poor public relations, public confidence and misinformation resulting in embarrassment and potential liability to the Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation.
