**Job Overview**:

- Develop and maintain a thorough economic and technological knowledge of Government markets.
- Determine what approaches and methods to be utilized to profitably create demand & increase sales penetration in this market.
- Has responsibility for supporting and growing sales of targeted Govt Depts & Verticals, customer presentations, demonstrations, achieving standards/specification approvals and helping to develop marketing programs designed to gain market share.
- Maintain close contact with top customers to ensure alignment in strategy and New Product Development.
- Responsible for obtaining, maintaining, and communicating Hubbell Products written specifications at relevant Government Depts. Contractors & OEM’s
- Travel is required
- Preferably located in the National Capital Region

**A Day In The Life**:

- Maintain & Analyze specific End Customers Databases, Top Engineers/Specifiers Database and participate w/sales management in setting sales strategy & goals
- Ownership role in identifying specification opportunities & working w/sales reps to follow through to completion of getting on specification
- Responsible for maintaining Database for Projects (where applicable) within vertical & be a project lead for key projects from phase zero to completion, working w/local sales reps, ensuring Hubbell's success in supplying full portfolio of products on the project
- Perform presentations at top Engineers/Specifiers to ensure Hubbell products are specified.
- Serve as the Hubbell Vertical Market “Expert” and as such make sure Hubbell products are keeping up with industry specific specifications.
- Responsible for working with applicable PLBT Leaders to help provide Market forecasts.
- Develop new product plans with Product Manager within the applicable vertical market to support successful introduction.

**What will help you thrive in this role?**:

- Bachelor's degree from four year college or university (Business, Technical Discipline)
- Minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education & experience
- Demonstrates ability to professionally summarize information in verbal & written communication
- Excellent presentation skills
- Able to meet deadlines
- Valid Driver's license
- Microsoft Excel experience & ability to manipulate spreadsheets w/formulas, including vlookup
- Experience w/Power BI
- Salesforce experience
- Qualifications in Government procurement
- Experience w/ConstructConnect & other project lead platforms
- Experience hosting conference calls
