Reporting to the VP, Operations, the Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with Project Managers to prepare comprehensive action plans, including resources, timeframes and budgets for projects. You will perform various coordinating tasks, including schedule and risk management, change management, procurement management along with administrative duties, including maintaining project documentation and handling financial and project reporting.

As this is a very technical role, to be successful, you will have background in mechanical or chemical engineering, excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within scope, budget and meet high quality standards.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate project management activities, resources, equipment, procurement, and flow of information.
- Maintain an Agile and Scrum methodology during project execution.
- Liaise with clients to provide status reporting of scope and schedule.
- Assign tasks to internal and external teams and assist with schedule management.
- Generate meeting minutes, action items and follow up on tasks with stakeholders until closure.
- Assist on preparing budget reports using Earned Value Management (SPI and CPI).
- Maintain project risk register and ensure elevation processes are followed for visibility, mitigation and action.
- Issuance of purchase orders and invoices through the ERP system.
- Work with the Project Manager to eliminate roadblocks.
- Conduct internal and external project meetings on behalf of the Project Manager.
- Develop and maintain issue and change management logs and ensure deliverables are complete.
- Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance.
- Other duties as assigned by the Project Sponsor or CEO

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or higher in engineering or related field from an accredited institute.
- Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience in project management, within a formal PMO from initiation to closure.
- An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, reports and step-by-step action plans.
- Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project or similar PPM tools.
- Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement activities.
- PMP / PRINCE2 certification is an asset.
- Proficient in Portuguese, Spanish and English a strong asset.
