**Overview**
We’re looking for a confident, sharp host/hostess — dare we say borderline maître d’ — who knows how to take charge of a room. You’ll be the first and lasting impression of the restaurant, responsible not only for welcoming guests, but for orchestrating the flow of reservations, seating, and service in line with our business goals.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-end dining environment, reads a room instinctively, and understands that great hospitality is both human and strategic.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Own the flow of the dining room: reservations, walk-ins, pacing, and seating optimization
- Manage and optimize reservations using OpenTable, including analysing data to improve intake, turnover, and guest experience
- Anticipate busy periods and proactively adjust seating strategy in collaboration with management, floor staff, and kitchen
- Welcome guests with confidence, warmth, and authority, setting the tone for the entire experience
- Build rapport with regulars and handle VIPs with discretion and ease
- Handle guest requests or issues calmly and solution-first, ensuring service recovery when needed
- Coordinate closely with servers, managers, and kitchen to maintain smooth service and timing
- Maintain an impeccable host stand and dining room presence
- Lead by example during service and support the team when the floor needs it

**Responsabilités**
- Gérer et optimiser le flow de la salle : réservations, walk-ins, cadence et rotation des tables
- Utiliser OpenTable de façon avancée, incluant l’analyse des données pour optimiser l’achalandage et l’expérience client
- Anticiper les périodes achalandées et ajuster la stratégie de placement en collaboration avec la direction, la salle et la cuisine
- Accueillir les client-e-s avec assurance, chaleur et professionnalisme
- Développer une relation avec la clientèle régulière et gérer les VIP avec tact
- Gérer les demandes et situations délicates avec calme et une approche orientée solutions
- Coordonner étroitement avec l’équipe de service pour assurer un déroulement fluide
- Maintenir un poste d’accueil impeccable et une présence soignée en salle
- Faire preuve de leadership naturel et soutenir l’équipe pendant le service

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
