**About the Job**

As the leader of our Information Technology department you will be directly responsible for supporting the Y’s technology strategy through the integration and optimization of our policies, practices and systems into an amazing user experience.

**What you’ll do**
- Partner with all departments to establish technology priorities
- Select software and hardware according to YMCA IT guidelines
- Participating in benchmarking, research, planning, design, and implementation of new technologies.
- Set strategic goals and direction for the IT department.
- Enforcing data security, OS security, datacenter security, and access procedures as per YMCA IT security policy and customer security policies.
- Develop capital & operating expense budgets for the department
- Serving as technical escalation point for IT team members.
- Leading and managing the day-to-day performance for IT staffs - including hiring, evaluation, mentoring, and providing technical leadership.
- Promote training for IT team members to help maintain a high level of expertise for all
- Develop, optimize, or adapt high availability information technology systems and infrastructure following YMCA IT guidelines.
- Analyzing existing workflows and identifying process improvements that will positively impact user experiences.
- Maintaining infrastructure including upgrades of software & hardware technologies, monitoring the environment to detect any hardware or software issues, and participating in system-related changes following Magna change management process.
- Ensure compliance with audit control standards and supporting internal and external audits as required.
- Comply with software license requirements.

**What we’re looking for**
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required
- 5 to 10 years of related and progressive IT experience
- Technology experience with (but not limited to): Azure AD, Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, Cisco Meraki, API integration, Amazon AWS, remote work technologies, Microsoft Flow.
- Experience leading cyber security prevention and planning; back-up strategies & methodologies; managing data administration issues
- Experience managing data and network security
- Extensive information technology background in order to plan, develop, implement and maintain information technology systems and to ensure technological support for local and wide area networks, servers, desktop and laptop hardware and software
- Fundamentals of Windows operating systems
- Software and hardware installation, configuration, upgrading, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repair
- Basic Networking skills
- Basic understanding of network topologies, cabling as well as the physical setup and layout of a network
- Operational and capital budget preparation and expenditure management
- Experience in telecommunications: assessing needs and managing appropriate technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
