**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for maintaining all functions of commercial and industrial buildings
- Must be able to work in a multi-faceted, fast-paced work environment
- Complete preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain the equipment and machinery of the company
- Follow all OHSA and company policies
- Personal development - continues to develop skills through training courses, and skills research
- Reports unsafe conditions in a tenant’s unit to a supervisor
- Maintain a clean work environment
- Comprehend and execute general instructions and solve problems in common situations
- Assume a wide variety of roles to coordinate job tasks with those of coworkers, tenants and contractors
- Work alongside external contractors or vendors when necessary, ensuring quality and timely completion of specialized tasks
- Continuous improvement - generate new ideas/suggestions, methods to improve equipment and reduce costs
- Performs maintenance/repairs such as:

- Plumbing: Diagnose and repair all types of plumbing related issues and understand plumbing codes. Examples: replace washers/faucets and toilets, clear sinks, toilets and drains, clear grease traps/sumps, replace pumps/motors, repair pipe systems, snake drains, soldering pipes, replace hot water tanks, plumb new locations
- Electrical: reset breakers, run wire/cabling, replace interior and exterior lighting
- HVAC: Troubleshoot HVAC issues and read error codes. Multimeter experience and high voltage experience.
- Snow/Landscaping: Provide additional support for snow removal and salting as needed, grounds maintenance (as needed), keep properties free of debris
- General Maintenance: Caulk windows/doors/siding, replace door seals for man doors & roll up doors, replace roll up door panels, overhead door maintenance, painting, drywall, clean out catch basins/socks, replace flooring, concrete work, asphalt repair, carpentry and fence repair

- Someone who is a self-starter with a high degree of initiative, creativity and flexibility
- Communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written, able to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with tenants, coworkers, supervisors and office staff
- Ability to lift 50lbs regularly
- Must be comfortable to work at heights, Working at Heights certification would be an asset
- Backhoe, skid steer, and forklift experience would be an asset
- Experience working a variety of power tools, chain saws and gas-powered saws is required
- General maintenance of company vehicles: tire changes, fluid changes, minor repairs
- Commercial plumbing, electrical and HVAC experience is a must
- 3-5 years trade experience with sound technical hands-on experience
- Must have a valid G license and have experience driving with trailers

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
