**Job Description**:
As an HR Specialist, you would be responsible for partnering with the assigned HR Business Partner (HRBP) in efforts to support all aspects of the store-based employee life cycle. You would frequently act as a liaison between the store-based teammates and cross-functional corporate departments. You would collaborate with HRBP with regards to people-based priorities that enhance employee engagement, increase retention, achieve diversity objectives and work towards creating a Legendary Workplace.
This individual must be detail oriented, highly organized and possess strong communication and reasoning skills. Ability to work collaboratively with store personnel and field multi-unit management in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, resourceful, and administratively efficient would be key to this individual’s success. This position reports directly to the Director of Human Resources for Stores.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Establish and maintain a professional and cohesive working relationship with your peers, store teammates and multi-unit managers.
- Conduct accurate, timely, and thorough investigations into employee concerns, as directed by the Zone HRBP.
- Maintain well-organized and easily comprehendible notes. Communicate investigation findings in a clear and concise manner and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Provide logical and appropriate performance coaching guidance to field management. Prepare disciplinary documentation where appropriate.
- Complete administrative projects and tasks as directed by the Zone HRBP or Director of Human Resources.
- Assist the Zone HRBP to effectively communicate personnel priorities and business-driving data in your zone to ensure store leadership are equipped to maximize opportunities in all areas of people management.
- Assist the Zone HRBP with analysis and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Human Resources.
- Recommend opportunities to increase efficiency, effectiveness, and operational excellence.
- Regularly collaborate and communicate with cross-functional corporate business partners, often as a liaison for store teammates.
**Proven Skills, Abilities and Experience Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of HR experience, or 5+ years of equivalent HR experience within Multi-unit management/Store Management employment history (Multi-unit management preferred but not required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience required (work experience may substitute for education requirement).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to diverse audiences.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and assess potential obstacles and opportunities to increase employee productivity and engagement.
- Exceptional time management and follow up skills. Experienced at prioritizing and working under time constraints, overseeing multiple projects at one time, and working independently while remaining flexible to changing priorities and assignments.
- Strong expertise of Microsoft Office Products including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with ability to adapt to new technology quickly.
- Remote position based within the boundaries of the zone, preferably located in the central time zone near a major metropolitan area. Limited travel may be required.
