Position Overview:
As Event Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting and coordinating various aspects of our brand marketing initiatives. Your responsibilities will span from event management and project coordination, to customer care and education. From event conceptualization to activating on-site, you have the ability to plan and execute events to target various audiences and create opportunities for meaningful interactions. You are equal parts creative as you are logical, and can effectively work independently in a highly collaborative team environment as you will work closely with our Senior Brand Marketing Manager and other team members to ensure the success of our campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

- From start to finish, owning event setup and all associated responsibilities for planning and organizing trade shows, conferences, exhibits, etc.
- Assist in the planning and execution of direct-to-consumer (DTC) events and campaigns
- In the conception phase:

- Understanding the needs of various different target audiences and developing a plan that satisfies them while still upholding our brand’s mission
- In the planning phase:

- Venue research and booking
- Communication with stakeholders and event staff
- Strategic planning around product features and booth plans
- Physically visit our office to pack products, marketing materials, booth displays and other necessary items for event activations
- Coordination for travel arrangements and shipments
- Written detailed creative briefs for custom signages and web & print material
- Orchestrating through project management tools (e.g. Asana)
- In the execution phase:

- Set-up and take-down of our booth presence on the show floor
- Prioritizing exceptional customer care, assisting both new and loyal consumers with satisfactory answers to their inquiries and needs
- Effectively communicating product information and educating consumers on predetermined topics, in a prompt and accurate manner
- Be able to naturally strike a conversation with anyone
- Calmly problem solve as needed at on-site events
- Ultimately, collaborate with the team to ensure seamless event experiences for our customers

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of DTC marketing
- 1-2 years of experience in event planning and coordination
- Must own a vehicle and be willing to travel to our head office as needed
- Must be willing and able to travel to events across Canada
- Passion for marketing and creating exceptional online and in-person consumer experiences
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to the natural health industry, a nutrition background is a plus
- Team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence
