**SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Reporting to Director of Finance, the Finance Manager - Corporate/Program Finance is responsible for:

- Provide finance support for Head Office departments and Kinark Outdoor Centre program
- Prepares reports and analyzes variances, identifying risks and progress versus plans and making corrective action recommendations
- Financial statement reporting for program director, management and the ministry
- Understanding of not-for-profit accounting rules and ministry reporting requirements & practices
- Reviews invoices and authorize payments, accounts payable and receivables for departments/programs and provides oversight and reporting for program area contracts
- Coordination and completion of Lead Agency reporting
- Ensure completion of entries and transactions for APCO accounts and records. Preparation of budgets and monthly reporting for APCO management and Board
- Coordinate and manage APCO annual audit
- Ensure completion of entries and transactions for the Kinark Foundation and prepare Kinark Foundation financial reports for the Foundation Board
- Coordinate and manage the Kinark Foundation annual audit
- Understanding of not-for-profit accounting rules and ministry reporting requirements & practices
- Provide financial support for other project and initiatives through completion of ad hoc analysis and reports

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Advanced skills with MS Excel, Office 365, OneNote required and experience with accounting software (Great Plains) would be an asset
- Knowledge and understanding of financial controls, not-for-profit accounting and ministry reporting standards
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with superior analysis and problem-solving skills
- Canadian professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, CMA)
- Diploma in accounting/finance required; University degree preferred
- 5-10 years’ experience with Broader Public Sector experience

**Kinark Child and Family Services conditions of employment include but are not limited to successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening, completed Pre-Employment Medical certificate, and proof of full vaccination against COVID-19.** Fully vaccinated is defined as having received all required doses of a World Health Organization Approved COVID-19 Vaccine at least one of which being approved for use in Canada and 14 days have passed since your last dose.
