Fantasyland Hotel Marketing Coordinator

The Marketing Coordinator for the Fantasyland Hotel is responsible for executing marketing plans and activities to support the hotel’s brand, drive traffic and generate sales for Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Providing day-to-day marketing support and generating new innovative ideas that support and promote the room sales of Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn and the Food and Beverage outlets such as L1 Lounge, L2 Grill as well as the Room Service department and large volume Banquet and Catering space.
- Increasing engagement and loyalty for Fantasyland Hotel and West Edmonton Mall Inn through effective advertising, strong branding, clear and concise communications, enticing promotions and annual marketing programs/opportunities that increase sales and traffic.
- Working with key members of the Marketing team to update and maintain all social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other platforms and ensuring they meet the company’s marketing brand and strategy.
- Assisting with the promotions and execution of special events, promotions and entertainment activities for Fantasyland Hotel and related entities while coordinating developed business strategies with local media to help drive traffic to the hotel.
- Collaborating with the rest of West Edmonton Mall Property Inc.’s marketing department, internal graphic designers, digital marketing representatives and other internal departments to increase the effectiveness and visibility of all projects, developing compelling creative for each promotion then identifying the target market, determining the right media mix of what message should be where, and then facilitating seamless execution.
- Coordinating internal communication processes and business development opportunities between Fantasyland Hotel, West Edmonton Mall Inn and our tenants with the utilization of our tenant portal, eBlasts, various offerings and trends in the marketplace.
- Offering full support to both properties working towards 100% occupancy and exceeding the proposed budget each and every month.
- Maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets and communities as a result increasing media engagement and awareness of Fantasyland Hotel’s suites, restaurants, events and promotions.
- Working closely with Fantasyland Hotel’s General Manager, Marketing Manager, Director of Business Development and the Creative Director to ensure corporate strategy and creative direction align to achieve business marketing goals.
- Communicating with the Sales, Front Desk, Food and Beverage Outlets and Reservations teams on a regular basis to relay all information on upcoming promotions and events to ensure all guests and clients are being accurately informed.
- Other responsibilities as required.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing, Communication or Business or related marketing degree.
- Three (3) to five (5) years-experience in a marketing role, with experience in the hospitality, tourism or hotel industry as an asset.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, a professional demeanor, and a high level of confidence in the workplace with previous experience leading a team and interacting with mainstream media outlets.
- Ability to develop, maintain and manage vendor/customer relationships.
- Excellent social media acumen and the ability to provide creative and attention getting campaign ideas and initiatives
- Display exceptional innovation and initiative with the ability to exhibit problem solving abilities, including good judgement, creativity and research skills.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a full-time position that is required Monday through Friday with flexibility to allow for occasional evening and/or weekend project driven work and activities.
- This is a salaried position that will depend on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
