The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing efficient and effective administrative support to the General Manager of Fantasyland Hotel.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Coordinating meetings, appointments and schedules for the General Manager, taking required minutes for specified meetings, and responding to specific hotel related inquiries and requests for the departments.
- Preparing, coordinating, and recording a variety of Hotel correspondence and documentation while ensuring all timelines are met and adhered to in the department.
- Performing various administrative duties including photocopying, faxing, scanning, and maintaining confidential records and files.
- Scheduling and planning staff events such as holiday parties and employee appreciation events.
- Monitoring reviews and donation requests and responding accordingly.
- Liaising with other departments in West Edmonton Mall and West Edmonton Mall Inn on a regular basis.
- Other responsibilities as required.

Desired Qualifications:

- One (1) to three (3) years-experience working in an administrative hotel support role.
- Completion of a related post-secondary diploma focusing on office administration, business administration or hospitality.
- An extremely professional attitude and demeanor complemented by excellent client relations skills and the ability to establish strong working relationships.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.
- Excellent typing and computer skills including a strong working knowledge of MS Office programs Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook as well the ability to adapt to other software programs as required.

Terms of Employment:

- This is a full-time position required Monday through Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
- This position qualifies for our 4-day workweek program.
- This is a salaried position and will depend on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.
