**Events and Marketing Specialist**

(Remote with some in-person meetings)

Mississauga, ON

Are you an experienced planner with a passion for delivering high-quality events and exceptional customer service? Do you like variety in your role, handling a breadth of responsibilities? If so, this might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for.

At the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies | Ontario (ACEC-Ontario), we advocate on behalf of the consulting engineering companies whose services and expertise improve the lives of Ontarians every single day. Whether it’s planning, designing, or delivering on projects that provide the clean water from your taps, or the transit and transportation systems that keep people and the economy on the move, the work of our member companies influences every part of our daily lives - we advocate on their behalf to ensure they can perform their work at the highest level possible.

Now we’re looking for a highly organized and experienced Event and Marketing Specialist to join our team.

**The Position**

As our **Event and Marketing Specialist**, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all events and education programs, handling all aspects from beginning to end, executing member communications, and providing regular support to the Director of Marketing and Communications. You will liaise with an audience of members, volunteers, Board of Directors, instructors, students, and corporate partners.

Practically speaking you will:

- Plan and execute ACEC-Ontario events, seminars, and courses, including the Awards Gala, a one-day AGM, annual Forum, networking events, and the MTO certification courses.
- Liaise with corporate and member sponsorship programs.
- Manage digital events throughout the year, including set-up, registration, and execution.
- Periodic website updates using WordPress.
- Provide support to the Director of Marketing and Communications as needed.

**Working at ACEC-Ontario**

Travel is infrequent, with an average of 1-2 visits to the GTA per month. You’ll primarily be working virtually Monday to Friday, from 8:30 - 4:30. In addition to a competitive salary commensurate with experience (starting range $65,000-$70,000), we offer comprehensive benefits package, 5% RRSP matching, and three weeks of paid vacation.

Our team is a small and close-knit group of talented professionals that all share a passion for what we do. We are always working on something timely and different so there’s never a dull day.

If you’re interested in joining an organization that is focused on making an impact, then we want to hear from you
