**About the Opportunity**:
Reporting to the Director of Policy, the Policy Lead’s role is to facilitate and accelerate the integration of policies, procedures, guidelines, and protocols to support readiness for the OPOR go live across all four zones.
The Policy Lead is accountable for leading Policy development as per the Nova Scotia Health Policy Framework and governing policy, working in close alignment with other members of the Policy Office to ensure alignment of policy direction.
The Policy Lead serves as the Subject Matter Expert and main point of contact for policy matters within OPOR and is responsible for facilitating the development, review, maintenance, and distribution of OPOR-related policies and associated processes as well as alignment of these policies with standards across relevant health sectors.
The Policy Lead provides support to OPOR senior leadership to ensure sponsored policies and associated processes support the mission, vision and values of the organization and are not in conflict with existing professional and organizational bylaws, rules and regulations, as well as other policies and procedures. The Policy Lead is accountable for managing NSH’s Policy Management System as well as day-to-day operations, employee orientation and overseeing updates of same.
The Policy Lead is accountable to lead on-going education of employees both in the realm of policy development and writing as well as in the design and use of the NSH policy and procedure system, both hard copy and electronic.
**About You**:
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Baccalaureate degree in a related field required
- Masters' Degree in Business, Health Services Administration, Public Administration, Library Services or related field preferred
- Three years of recent, relevant experience required
- Previous experience in document research, development and project work
- Previous experience in facilitating and leading groups in a virtual environment
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including team building, negotiation, and conflict management in a multidisciplinary setting
- Knowledge and/or experience in Health Care an asset
- Project management training and experience
- Demonstrates a strong commitement to the principles of health equity, diversity, inclusion, reconciliation and accessibility
- Knowledge of OP3 an asset
- Knowledge of document control, content management principles
- Must have access to access to a reliable form of transportation, travel is required
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

**Compensation and Benefits**:
$37.61 - $47.01 Hourly
